Twelve Kilos Less Person
Crossing BMI 30, and working out that I'm now carrying around more weight less than when I started than my actual work backpack weighs.
14 st 11¼ lb.
That’s 207.25 lb, or 94.0 kg.
From a starting point of 16 st 10 lb (106.1 kg), that’s:
- 26.75 lb (12.1 kg) lost
- About 1 st 12¾ lb gone
- Roughly 11.4% of my starting weight
My BMI is now around 29.7.
I’ve officially crossed below BMI 30.
The number on its own doesn’t mean a great deal to me. What means something is what it translates to.
I’m now carrying around 12 kg less person than when I started.
That’s more than my actual work backpack weighs. Laptop, change of clothes, all of it.
No target weight required for that to matter. I’m not chasing 90 kg, or 85 kg, or whatever figure a calculator happens to like the look of. I’m just getting closer to the thing I actually wanted in the first place: a body that’s easier to move around in.
